Silver & Enamel Tryptych of St George,with St Nicholas the Miracle Worker, & Alexei the Metropolitan of Moscow.

St George & the dragon are the emblem of Moscow, and signify victorious.

This unique Tryptych was most probably intended for ceremonial presentation to the Emperor Nicholas 11.

The art of enamelling is part of Russian national culture, and the colours remain fresh & vivid.
