Van Cleef & Arpels has recently refurbished their store at 31 rue du Rhone,Geneva, & whilst distribution remains very exclusive, Van Cleef & Arpels plan to open shortly in Zurich, with another store which is in beautiful  Lucerne.                                    Van Cleef & Arpels is part of the Cie Financiere  Richemont S.A. Who have opened up 8 stores in mainland China since 2004. Asia has become Richemont’s biggest market with jewellery representing 50% of sales operating income, & watches making up most of the rest.           Richemont plans to concentrate on the jewellery/watch Brands of Cartier, & Lange Sohne, as well as Van Cleef & Arpels. It is reported that Richemont plan to sell off the Lancel handbag brand. It is proposed that a Van Cleef & Arpels watchmaking manufacturing pole will be installed  on the future Richemont campus, at Meyrin.
